Scope of work

The Human Resources Manager is a key position in the country of deployment, with support responsibility for all individuals and organizations designated by the iMMAP Country Team Leader.

Under the direct supervision of the Country Director, the incumbent of the post will be responsible for providing human resources assistance in general to the project implementation and management. He/She will provide comprehensive Human Resources support to the Country Director and iMMAP Headquarters. It is also imperative that the HR Manager be capable of working under pressure and meet deadlines.

responsibilities

  1. Advise the CD on ways in which iMMAP can meet legal requirements in country regarding registration, work permits, residency for international staff

  2. Advise the CD on local labour law requirements for eventual expansion of activities in Turkey, including recruitment, HR policies and procedures, office establishment etc.

  3. Support the CD and Headquarters personnel with the development of appropriate and compliant policies and procedures for iMMAP’s work in Turkey and Jordan

  4. Maintain, update and manage database of CVs, providing support to CD on recruitment of core staff and stand-by partnership programme (SBPP) surge staff

  5. Manage HR administration (recruitment, hiring, contracts, absences follow-up, attendance follow-up, salaries, end of contract, reporting, evaluation, files, etc.)

  6. Help promote effective working relationships between country, regional and Head Office team

  7. Promote iMMAP’s vision and mission in Turkey

Representation

· Maintain effective and positive internal contacts with the Country Director, Regional Director, and iMMAP headquarters officers and staff, and external contacts with the national and local government officials, international non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and national NGOs where required

· Establish and maintain contacts within Turkey to gather advice on legal aspects of iMMAP’s establishment within Turkey

Qualifications

required

●Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, economics, or related field

●Minimum 6 - 8 years of experience with administration, human resources

●Prior experience working with NGO national and international HR

●Strong knowledge and understanding of the Turkish legal frame and laws and prior experience in Turkey within INGO.

●Strong ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

●Mastery of MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word

●Knowledge of EU and UN regulations, reporting and audits requirements

●Ability to effectively write reports, maintain documentation, and complete required forms

●Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality regarding all aspects of work at all times

● Experience at INGO HQ
